Marilyn Monroe – Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend [WITH LYRICS]

another completely fan-made video for Marilyn Monroe ๐Ÿ™‚ ~~I OWN NOTHING~~ Lyrics: The French are glad to die for love. They delight in fighting duels. But I prefer a man who lives And gives expensive jewels. A kiss on the hand May be quite continental, But diamonds are a girl’s best friend. A kiss may be grand But it won’t pay the rental On your humble flat Or help you at the automat. Men grow cold As girls grow old, And we all lose our charms in the end. But square-cut or pear-shaped, These rocks don’t loose their shape. Diamonds are a girl’s best friend. Tiffany’s! Cartier! Black Starr! Frost Gorham! Talk to me Harry Winston. Tell me all about it! There may come a time When a lass needs a lawyer, But diamonds are a girl’s best friend. There may come a time When a hard-boiled employer Thinks you’re awful nice, But get that ice or else no dice. He’s your guy When stocks are high, But beware when they start to descend. It’s then that those louses Go back to their spouses. Diamonds are a girl’s best friend. I’ve heard of affairs That are strictly platonic, But diamonds are a girl’s best friend. And I think affairs That you must keep liaisonic Are better bets If little pets get big baguettes. Time rolls on, And youth is gone, And you can’t straighten up when you bend. But stiff back Or stiff knees, You stand straight at Tiffany’s. Diamonds! Diamonds! I don’t mean rhinestones! But diamonds are a girl’s best friend.

Marilyn Monroe – Iconic Make-up Look

Watch this video on my site for product links, tips and more info. Although it’s very difficult to get all the exact details as her make-up artist never betrayed her secrets, it’s fun to talk about the different tricks and details of Marilyn’s make-up. Marilyn had lots of different looks and was pretty natural off camera but this video concentrates on the very glamorous look she had for her movies and poster shoots from 1953 through to the end of the 50s. Lots of the tricks were geared towards the lighting, film and cameras of the time. I’m creating an ‘illustrative’ version inspired by her look. Hope you enjoy it! x

The Life And Death Of Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn Monroe tribute.

Marilyn Monroe | Forever Young

“I don’t want to make money— I just want to be wonderful.” Marilyn Monroe June 1, 1926 – August 4, 1962 This is my tribute to Marilyn Monroe, who died 48 years ago today. I’ve always been drawn to her and fascinated by her work and her life, despite how sad it became at times. We all know that she went far too soon, but it truly says a lot about her when, even after several decades, people all over the world still identify with her and relate to her. To me, that is why she is so inspirational. She definitely deserves a tribute, although this isn’t much. Anyway, I hope you guys like it! It took me unreasonably long. o__0 Song: Forever Young Artist: Youth Group Footage: Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Marilyn: The Last Days, Something’s Got to Give, a variety of real-life footage Focus: Marilyn Monroe Program: Sony Vegas 7.0 Disclaimer: I own nothing but the editing Pictures from Google Images,, and Enjoy! ๐Ÿ™‚ EDIT 10/4/2012: Wow, thanks for 1000000+ views, guys!
